Elderly Parents in Israel

Untitled-design-1

Many elderly are choosing to live their golden years in Israel.  About 14% of immigrants to Israel are over the age of 65. What happens when a parent becomes ill and you, the children, are not living here?  Long distance care giving is tough, if not impossible.  What will you do if your parent deteriorates in function?  Has a stroke or a heart attack?  When a crisis occurs it can be daunting to understand where to turn, what to do next, and how to get information even if you are in proximity of your parent!  Imagine how incredibly difficult it will be from thousands of miles away!

EMA Care is here to give your parent caring support and professional medical help.  We will help navigate the Israeli health system, be with your parent during hospitalization, speak to your parent’s doctors, supervise any aides, and offer practical suggestions to you and your parents.

There is no need to wait for a health crisis. As people age their cognitive ability may become less sharp.  It gets more and more challenging for the elderly to keep track of their medication, to make doctor’s appointments, and to understand what is happening to their health and well-being.

EMA Care is ready to take care of the day to day management of your parent’s health care.  We evaluate medical records to assure your parent is provided with the highest level of care offered.  Our health professionals work with full family participation and understanding while maintaining your parents’ independence and decision-making.

Our goal is to help your parents live their life with less confusion and more dignity.  Another goal is to be able to communicate with you, the children, on how we are helping to improve and manage your parent’s health and quality of life, whether it’s a crisis or a daily need for healthcare supervision.

EMA Care provides medical concierge, case management, and patient advocacy services to tourists, students and residents of Israel. Contact us today to schedule your free consultation.

Recommended by an Infectious Disease Specialist

My experience with Ema Care has been so positive that I wanted to share it in case it could help someone else. Eight days ago my daughter, a Shanah Bet student, called to say she wasn’t feeling well and had symptoms of Covid-19. I was put in touch with an Infectious Disease specialist who recommended Ema Care. I reached Dr. Eliana Aaron easily and signed my daughter up. The next morning, Ema Care gave my daughter a telehealth exam and provided her with prescriptions, as well as a list of
